The Value Led Life

This week’s call to action is to explore what truly matters to us: our values.

So often, other people lovingly offer advice and suggestions on what we “should” and “should not” want and find important, but those are someone else’s values, not yours.  Calling on your inner wisdom, you get to decide your YES’s and your NO’s.

Take some time to ponder: What are the principles that drive your actions and decisions? What ideals ignite your passion and fuel your sense of fulfillment? Journaling, meditation, or simply quiet contemplation can help unearth these insights.

Once you’ve delved into your inner landscape, pinpoint the values that resonate most strongly with you. Whether it’s integrity, compassion, creativity, or something entirely unique, embrace the qualities that feel authentically yours.

Write down all the values that resonate with you. Then go through the list until you narrow it down till you have your top 3.

What are your top 3 values?

What habits do you have now that are alined with your values?

What habits do you have that are not aligned with your values?

What steps can you take to align your self more with your values?

Now comes the transformative part: living in alignment with your values. Let your values infuse every aspect of your life, from your career choices to your relationships and beyond. When faced with tough decisions, let your values be your guiding light, steering you toward choices that resonate with your truest self.

Be committed to your values and principles instead of standards and ideals.  Standards and ideals keep us stuck in the polarity of right and wrong or good and bad, while knowing our values and principles empowers us to live our lives with intention, powerfully creating light and goodness every day.
