Volunteer

Volunteering, also known as Seva or Sacred Service, honors the spiritual practice of service as a way of life. It is the place where we outwardly express who we inwardly are by sharing our gifts and talents. In doing so, we expand our potential, create a strong sense of community, and express our souls. There are many opportunities to be in service to our community.

Sunday Gathering Setup – every Sunday we begin setting up for our time together at 8:30 AM at the Pavilion on the Lake. We setup our A/V booth, prayer and information table, gifts and books table, love offerings table, the entire sound system for our musicians and spiritual leader or guest speaker, podium, Tibetan sound bowl table. We are quite organized with boxes and pictures of how each section should be setup. You don’t have to do the whole setup alone. You can arrive early and assist the setup team, then walk out to the park to meditate or gaze upon the lake.

Sunday Gathering Greeter – Help create a warm and welcoming environment by serving as a Greeter for our Sunday gatherings. Greeters are the first friendly faces people see when they arrive, offering smiles and helpful directions. This role is perfect for those who love connecting with others and want to help make everyone feel at home from the moment they walk through the door.

Sunday Gathering Close – what goes up must come down. All of the above gets boxed up and returned to storage. You’ll have time to mingle and fellowship with folks and then assist the setup team with whatever is needed.

Zoom Moderator for Sunday Gatherings – if you are comfortable with technology and would like to assist us on Sunday mornings, our Zoom audience would greatly appreciate it! The Zoom moderator greets the incoming zoomers, chats, and provides info about announcements and inspiration while the gathering is taking place. You can be the Zoom moderator from home or at the service.

Office cleanup angels – a group of volunteers get together monthly for office cleanup. Dusting, vacuuming, straightening up, restocking, etc. Turn on some music and have some fun doing this holy work with some friends of like mind.

Hearts & Hands Team – this team of angels ensures we have snacks, water, and coffee after our weekly gatherings. They also drop homemade food off at homes of those in our community in need of assistance.
