Creation of the Manjushri (Wisdom) Buddha Sand Mandala – Day 3

Witness Sacred Art in Motion!
Join us for the Creation of the Manjushri (Wisdom) Buddha Sand Mandala with the Drepung Gomang Monks, led by Geshe Chaeden.
Watch as Tibetan monks create an intricate mandala with colored sand as a meditation on compassion and impermanence.
Opening Ceremony: Sunday, July 13 at 1:00 p.m. at our center. Appetizers and beverages will be served.
Daily Schedule: Monday & Tuesday, July 14–15 at our center
• Opening Chant: 10:30 a.m.
• Mandala Creation: All Day
• Closing Chant: 4:30–5:00 p.m.
Closing Day – Wednesday, July 16 at our center
• Opening Chant: 10:30 a.m.
• Mandala Creation continues to completion and potluck.
• Closing (dissolution) Ceremony: 2:15–5:15 p.m.
Followed by a procession to Sunken Gardens and a sand release at the Salinas River.
Each day, enjoy a craft table for visitors of all ages and browse the Tibetan Sacred Arts Tour’s fair-trade goods including mala beads, prayer flags, and more, all handmade by the monks in India.
