Making a Difference in Our Community
At Awakening Ways, we are dedicated to putting our love into action and making a meaningful impact in the lives of those around us.
Weekly Donations for ALF (Atascadero Loaves and Fishes):
Every Sunday, we collect toiletries and non-perishable food items to support Atascadero Loaves and Fishes in providing essential resources to those in need. Suggested donation items include:
- Toiletries: toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, and feminine hygiene products
- Non-perishable foods: canned goods (soups, vegetables, and meats), peanut butter, pasta, pasta sauce, tuna, rice, low sugar cereals, canned dog and cat food (no dry food), etc.
Please note: We cannot accept open packages, outdated food, glass containers, or fresh stone fruit.
Donations can be brought to our Sunday gatherings, and our Hearts and Hands team ensures they are delivered to ALF.
Providing Meals for ECHO (El Camino Homeless Organization):
We also prepare and serve nourishing meals for participants in ECHO’s programs. Our community comes together to cook and serve hearty beef and lentil sloppy joes paired with a fresh salad, offering not just food but also care and support for those in need. Next ECHO meal is planned for Thursday February 6th, 2025.
