Awakening Ways is now happy to offer two full rows of seats at our Sunday service for those who wear hearing aids. In this section of chairs, located currently on the left side of the Pavilion, the sound from the speaker’s microphone will be transmitted directly to the Telecoil in your hearing aid.
This useful feature available on many hearing aids today is called the “Telecoil” or commonly referred to as a “T-Coil.” The T-Coil is a small copper wire located inside the hearing aid. It can make a dramatic difference in your ability to hear clearly and understand dialog.
The Telecoil simply needs to be turned on by an Audiologist, if it is not already on. This will enable you to experience clearer hearing without feedback. The advantage of using a T-Coil is that you can turn off your normal hearing aid microphone and, thus, not hear all the noise around you.
For further information, please feel free to speak with Doug Howard on Sunday morning and he will be happy to answer your questions about the T-Coil.
