DESCRIPTION:Witness Sacred Art in Motion! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for the Creation of the Manjushri (Wisdom) Buddha Sand Mandala with the Drepung Gomang Monks\, led by Geshe Chaeden. \n\n\n\nWatch as Tibetan monks create an intricate mandala with colored sand as a meditation on compassion and impermanence. \n\n\n\nOpening Ceremony: Sunday\, July 13 at 1:00 p.m. at our center. Appetizers and beverages will be served. \n\n\n\nDaily Schedule: Monday & Tuesday\, July 14–15 at our center • Opening Chant: 10:30 a.m.• Mandala Creation: All Day• Closing Chant: 4:30–5:00 p.m. \n\n\n\nClosing Day – Wednesday\, July 16 at our center• Opening Chant: 10:30 a.m.• Mandala Creation continues to completion and potluck. \n\n\n\n• Closing (dissolution) Ceremony: 2:15–5:15 p.m. \n\n\n\nFollowed by a procession to Sunken Gardens and a sand release at the Salinas River. \n\n\n\nEach day\, enjoy a craft table for visitors of all ages and browse the Tibetan Sacred Arts Tour’s fair-trade goods including mala beads\, prayer flags\, and more\, all handmade by the monks in India. \n\n\n\nAwakening Ways Center for Spiritual Living7350 El Camino Real\, Suite 101 • Atascadero\, CA 93422 \n\n\n\nWe’re also looking for volunteers and would love your help!
