He studied at Karcha Monastery before continuing his advanced Buddhist studies at Drepung Gomang Monastery in South India. In 2000\, he earned the Geshe Lharampa degree—the highest academic honor in Tibetan Buddhism\, equivalent to a Ph.D. He later studied at Gyuto Tantric College\, deepening his understanding of Vajrayana Buddhism\, empowerment rituals\, and monastic discipline. \n\n\n\nFor over 20 years\, Geshe has traveled the world—teaching in the United States\, Europe\, Japan\, Australia\, Russia\, and Serbia—sharing his wisdom on compassion\, love\, and mindfulness. In 2012\, he founded the Girls’ School of Dorje Dzong (photos below)\, providing young girls in Ladakh with access to education. In 2019\, he established the Nalanda Institute of Knowledge at Karcha Monastery\, focusing on meditation and Buddhist psychology. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are honored to welcome Geshe Lobsang Tsetan and invite you to take part in this transformative and inspiring experience.
